Rajasthan man held in Pune with opium worth Rs 60L | Pune News
The Pune city police have arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly carrying 3.29 kg of opium worth Rs 60 lakh, said police, adding that he was identified as Mohanlal Megaram Bishnoi, a native and resident of Gudamalani in Barmer district of Rajasthan.
Acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) laid a trap and nabbed Bishnoi from Fursungi’s Ganga Nagar Road near Hadapsar on Friday night. They have also seized 3.29 kg of opium worth Rs 60 lakh from the possession of the accused, said officials. An FIR was registered against Bishnoi under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Hadapsar police station, reads a press release issued on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in another similar incident, a team of officials of ANC — acting on information received by police naik Sandip Shelke — arrested Sonu Kolse (55) from Yerwada on Friday.
Police have also recovered 9.9 kg of marijuana worth Rs 1,9,700 from his possession.
An FIR has been registered against him under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at the Yerwada police station.
