The first look poster of Raghava Lawrence from Chandramukhi 2, also starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, was released on Monday. Raghava is seen as Vettaiyan, the cruel king, a character Rajinikanth played in the film’s first part. The actor, dressed up as a king, is seen sporting a sly smile in the poster.
Sharing the first look poster, Raghava wrote, “Thanks to Thalaivar Superstar Rajinikanth! Here’s presenting you the first look at Vettaiyan. I need all your blessings! Releasing this GANESH CHATURTHI in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.”

It is unclear if Chandramukhi 2 will be a sequel to the first part or would deal with an entirely new storyline. However, the characters from the first part like Vadivelu’s Murugesan are retained in the latest installment of Chandramukhi. Kangana Ranaut is playing the titular role in the film.
A few weeks ago, Kangana took to social media to heap praise on Raghava Lawrence. She wrote, “As I am about to complete my role in Chandramukhi today, I find it very difficult to say bye to many wonderful people that I met, such a lovely crew I had, I didn’t have any pictures with Raghava Lawrence sir because we are always in film costumes so this morning before the shoot started I requested for one, I am so inspired by sir who is popularly known as Lawrence master because he started his career as a choreographer actually as a back dancer but today he is not only a blockbuster filmmaker/superstar but also an incredibly lively, kind and wonderful human being.”
Radikaa Sarathkumar, Srushti Dange, and Lakshmi Menon also star in the film. Produced by Lyca, the movie has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar.
MM Keeravaani, who composed the music for Chandramukhi 2, has heaped praise on the film. The Academy Award-winning music director said that the movie was very haunting and didn’t let him sleep for two days. The film will be released on Vinayaka Chathurthi (September 19).
