Search on for two feared drowned in Indrayani river | Pune News
TWO PERSONS, both aged 20, were feared drowned in the Indrayani river near Moshi area of Pimpri Chinchwad on Saturday afternoon. The search operation by the fire brigade personnel continued till late on Sunday.
According to officials from Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Brigade, the incident took place around 4 pm on Saturday at Hawaldar Vasti area near Moshi.
Police have identified the two missing persons as Sonu Kumar Baitha (20) and Shaktiman Kumar (20), both of whom are natives of Bihar.

Fire Brigade officials said that Sonu is an earthmover operator who was employed by a contractor on the work of construction of a drainage line in the area. Shaktiman is his friend.
“Primary information suggests that the two entered the Indrayani river near Havaldar Vasti to take a bath. The two were not seen after a while. Their clothes and other belongings have been found on the river bank. The Fire Brigade control room was informed and we launched a search for them on Saturday evening. We continued our search on Sunday but have not been able to find the two,” said fire officer Vinayak Nale.
Officials said that the search for the two missing persons will continue on Monday in the Indrayani riverbed downstream.
