Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 promo: Kamal Haasan returns as host and he is ‘watching you’ | Tamil News

Nearly 10 months after the conclusion of the previous season, the seventh edition of Bigg Boss Tamil is in the works, with Kamal Haasan returning as the host. Despite earlier rumours of his potential departure after the sixth season, Kamal Haasan himself shared a 20-second promotional video for the upcoming BB Tamil Season 7.

In the video, Kamal is shown standing on a wooden deck by the river, waiting in anticipation for someone or something. He exudes style in a beige tuxedo. As the camera shifts, revealing his back, and then pans towards his face, Kamal locks eyes with it, concluding with a subtle smile on his lips and signalling the phrase ‘I am watching you’.

Similar to its preceding instalments, the sixth season of the series also garnered significant viewership during its airing from October 9, 2022, to January 22, 2023. Mohammed Azeem, a television actor, claimed victory that season, while Vikraman Radhakrishnan, another TV personality, secured the position of the first runner-up.

The season saw 21 contestants and three of them ended up making it to the finals. Azeem, Vikraman, and Shivin were the last ones standing.

Kamal, at the start of season six, had taken pride in saying that the show featured a diverse set of contestants, and there is some truth to it. Another notable factor about Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6 is that it didn’t feature a big film celebrity, which made the playing ground even.

A confirmed start date for the show’s broadcast will be revealed shortly.

Freedom Sale

Though Kamal Haasan has not had any movie releases this year, he is currently working on S Shankar’s ambitious project Indian 2, a sequel to the filmmaker’s 1996 vigilante action movie Indian, which earned Kamal his fourth National Film Award.
