AP Dhillon says he slept on suitcases because hotel denied room, reveals a ‘brown girl’ helped him | Music News

Singer AP Dhillon, who is known for songs like “Brown Munde”, “Summer High”, and “Excuses” among others, was recently seen on Amazon Prime Video’s docu-series AP Dhillon First of a Kind. Spanning four episodes, this docu-series centers on Dhillon’s experience as a migrant uncertain of his path, and the process of crafting a viral track with friends.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Dhillon opened up about the time he left his home and reached Canada. The singer said, “It was a long night. When I reached there, I just could not get a place and I could not find anybody to help me. I tried my best to get a room in a hotel and nobody gave me the room. I had two suitcases and I put them on the ground and I tried to sleep on them.”

The singer continued, “There was this brown girl who came to me and said, ‘You don’t look like a homeless person. Why are you sleeping outside?’ I told her the story and said I am jetlagged. And then she went to her fiance or boyfriend and told, ‘Give this guy your credit card.’ And I remember the guy coming to me and saying, ‘Please don’t steal anything, don’t break anything.’”

AP Dhillon recently made headlines with the song “With You”, featuring his alleged girlfriend Banita Sandhu. The October actor also dropped multiple pictures with him on social media, leaving fans in a frenzy.
