PMPML starts initiative to get public feedback


Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) Chairman and Managing Director Sachindra Pratap Singh launched an innovative programmme named “PMPML Pravasi Mitra” on August 20 to collect feedback from citizens regarding public transportation, foster increased engagement to enhance PMPML’s transportation services.

“People who want to be part of this initiative will be provided with identity cards as ‘PMPML Pravasi Mitra’. As many people can join us to improve the service system but there will be no concession for the people to travel. This ID card will be valid for three years,” PRO Satish Gaate said.

He added that passengers can inform or complain about the behaviour of conductors and drivers, poor maintenance of bus stands and the need for a bus shed and routes. People can also add their views on the good service of the staff members of the PMPML.

Singh also announced restarting of a similar initiative called ‘Pravasi Divas’ in July this year which was stopped due to the pandemic.

People could walk to bus depots with their complaints on the second and fourth Friday of the month. When asked about the difference between these two, PRO said that Pravasi Divas is active twice a month, but under Pravasi Mitra, people can reach out anytime.

People who want to take part in PMPML Pravasi Mitra can submit personal documented details. Along with personal details, passengers have to send one consent letter for being a companion of PMPML.Details can be sent through email at lpropmpml1@gmail.com.
