We have seen Sunny Deol thrash Pakistani soldiers in Gadar 2. But many wonder if he’s anything like that in real life. In a recent interview, when asked about this, Sunny admitted that he used to get into fights because he had a hot temper. The actor also narrated a story about being taken away by the police after getting into a fight at a cricket match.
Talking to Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube Channel, Sunny said, “I have had fights because I used to get very angry. I remember, I went to watch a cricket match between New Zealand and India with my friends. I was in my early twenties at that time and I hadn’t made my acting debut. We were sitting at the North stand, it was a bit rowdy. Someone got to know that I am Dharmendra’s son and they started ragging me. They started throwing cigarette butts. Then I got up, turned around, and started beating people. I don’t know what happened to me at that time, I didn’t see anything and just started fighting. Then the police came and took me from there. When somebody crosses a limit then these things happen.”
Currently basking in the resounding success of Gadar 2, which has amassed a staggering Rs 465.75 crore within 19 days of release, Sunny was rumoured to be demanding a fee Rs 50 crore post the film’s triumph. Addressing these speculations in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sunny said, “First of all, I feel money matters are very personal. No one shares exactly what he or she earns, even to (the) close ones. Secondly, what I charge or don’t charge will be decided when I sign my next film. Right now, we are all trying to process of enormity of the success of Gadar 2.”
In addition to Sunny, the ensemble cast of Gadar 2 includes Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Simratt Kaur, and Manish Wadhwa, all playing pivotal roles in the Anil Sharma directorial.
