Two of November 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential games have seemingly been revealed ahead of an official announcement.
Dealabs user billbil-kun, who has been accurately leaking the PlayStation Plus line-ups almost every month since September 2021, has published what they claim to be the two headline additions to the subscription service next month.
They are Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Aliens Fireteam Elite.
The games were initially tweeted by billbil-kun with a disclaimer that they thought there were “high chances” that the two games would be included.
This was followed up minutes later by a second tweet in which they said there were “100% chances”.
Essential is the entry-level PlayStation Plus membership tier, which offers subscribers access to a few ‘free’ games every month.
The service’s more expensive Extra and Premium tiers, which were introduced last summer, offer subscribers access to the Game Catalogue, a library of up to 400 downloadable PS4 and PS5 games, as well as Ubisoft+ Classics, a curated selection of titles from the Assassin’s Creed publisher.
The move saw the cost of 12-month subscription plans for the service’s Essential, Extra and Premium tiers rise by $20-$40 / £10-£20 / €12-€32 depending on the chosen membership plan.
