WWE 2K24 has been rated ahead of an announcement

Unannounced wrestling game WWE 2K24 has been rated in Brazil.

The game, which has been rated for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, is seemingly the sequel to WWE 2K23, which was released in March of 2023.

WWE 2K23 was officially announced in January of 2023, leaving only a two-month window between announcement and release. The game’s discovery on a rating board prior to an official announcement could suggest a similar release schedule.

VGC has contacted 2K for comment and will update this story should we receive one.

WWE 2K23 was released for consoles and PC in March, and included a new WarGames mode, which offered 3v3 and 4v4 matches in the unique WarGames structure, consisting of two rings side-by-side inside a steel cage.

The game also featured a showcase mode allowing players to play through the career of John Cena, however, in a twist to the usual mode format, players took control of Cena’s most famous opponents, rather than the wrestler-turned-film star.

After a nearly decade-long absense, controversial professional wrestler CM Punk returned to the company at last Saturday’s Survivor Series event. Punk, who famously left the WWE under controversial circumstances in 2014, was featured prominently in the next year’s game, WWE 2K15, despite his public feud with the company.
